Columbus, Ohio; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died April 28, in Baghdad of wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using small arms fire during combat patrol operations.
Army Sgt. Robert Carr 22
Fowler, Ohio. Died Mar. 13, 2007, from injuries sustained by a roadside bomb in Iraq. The 2002 Champion High School graduate living in Fowler, Ohio. He was attatched to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo. and was serving as a specialist with the 1/506th Infantry Battalion stationed in Baghdad.
Navy Hospitalman Lucas W. Emch
Kent, Ohio. Died Mar. 2, 2007, when a makeshift bomb exploded while conducting combat operations in Anbar Province. Emch was assigned to the 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Spc.4 Army Paratrooper Marco Miller 36
Warren, Ohio. Died Dec. 4, 2006, in Germany after suffering serious injuries outside Baghdad on Dec. 3. Miller was assigned to 32nd Airborne. He's a Warren native and Warren G. Harding graduate who was living in Orlando, Fla.
Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Brozovich 42
Greenville Pa. Died Oct. 18 2006. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 213th Air Defence Artillery, in Spring City.
Army Sgt. David W. Gordon 23
Williamsfield Ohio. Died Sept.8 2006 in Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
Lance Cpl. Daniel N. Deyarmin Jr.
Tallmadge, Ohio. Died Aug. 1, 2005, as a result of enemy small-arms fire while conducting dismounted operations outside Haditha, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Brookpark, Ohio. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, all were attached to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
Army Sgt. 1st Class Daniel J. Pratt 48
Youngstown, Ohio. Died Nov. 3 2005, in An Nasiriyah, Iraq, of a cause not related to combat. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 211th Maintenance Company, based in Newark.
Army Sgt. Larry R. Kuhns Jr. 24
Austintown, Ohio. Died June 13, 2005, when his military vehicle came under a grenade attack in Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
Army Staff Sgt. Elvis Bourdon 36
Youngstown, Ohio. Died Sept. 6, 2004, during a patrol when his vehicle came under attack by enemy forces using small-arms fire and grenades. He was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 9th Calvary Regiment, 1st Calvary Division from Fort Hood, Texas.
Army Sgt. Kurt D. Schamberg 26
Orwell, Ohio. Died from a roadside blast near Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad. (no date given) He was assigned to 10th Mountain Division, based at Fort Drum, N.Y.
Army Lt. Col. Dominic R. Baragona 42
Niles, Ohio. Died May 19, 2003, in a multivehicle traffic accident near Safwan, Iraq. He was assigned to 19th Maintenance Battalion.
